Putting the Soul
back in Psychology!

Holy Spirit, help me understand what I am about to read and show me the errors in my thinking and beliefs.

I. Scientific Natural Laws
1) Like begets like.
2) Only nothing comes from nothing, Something has to come from something.
3) What is created cannot be greater or equal to the Creator.
II. Proof that our abstract psychological intellectual acts, including abstract psychological emotions, feelings and attractions, are spiritual only and do NOT originate from our brain:
1) Abstract intellectual processes are greater and different than concrete intellectual processes.
2) We are intellectually greater in functioning than brute animals.
3) What is material cannot create or beget what is spiritual.
4) Truth, Love, Virtues, exist whether a particular human has them or not, must be learned by human beings, therefore do not originate from any human being, are not material (therefore Spiritual), not-dead (therefore Alive), not concepts/ideas (therefore Being) ---Proof they are God and the absence of them (lies, unloving, unvirtuousness / vices) is evil.
III. Proof that humans have a spiritual/non-material intellectual free will Soul, where originates all of our abstract psychological intellectual acts, including abstract psychological emotions, feelings and attractions...all of which brute animals do not have:
1) We can think in many types of ways that brute animals cannot.
a) We can be self-aware and self-reflective.
b) We can be creative for creativity sake.
c) Brain size cannot be the reason because some brute animals have larger brains than humans do.
d) A normal human can choose to do the opposite of what he or she wants and feels even when there is going to be a consequence or loss of a reward for choosing so (called sacrifice).
e) We humans can say "no" to instant gratification (immediate reward) even with a threat of immediate consequence.
f) We will reject a material gain or accept physical suffering simply to support or teach a belief.
g) Brute animals only function based on immediate consequences and rewards.
h) Brute animals cannot choose to do the opposite of what they want or feel unless there is a fear of an immediate consequence, including loss of an immediate reward. They will only do the opposite of what they want or feel, if they believe there is going to be an immediate reward or consequence for doing so. Protecting offspring or protecting a food source, is natural biological self-preservation / survival of the fittest.
IV. Proof that psychological emotions and feelings (including psychological attractions) only exist in human beings and therefore are freely chosen in human beings:
1) There are two types of thinking,...Abstract and Concrete.
A) Abstract thinking is thinking about the non-material, understanding concepts, having ideas and opinions, creativity for the sake of beauty, self-awareness, the ability to name, define, and explain something, the ability to think about the distant future, etc.
B) Concrete thinking is thinking about the most rudimentary basic practical physical sensations, desires, and experiences in order to stay alive and promulgate the species. Everything else is an abstract concept.
a) Abstract intellectual thinking causes abstract emotions and feelings.
b) Concrete intellectual thinking causes concrete emotions and feelings.
c) Humans can think and feel both concretely and abstractly.
d) Brute animals can only think and feel concretely.
e) Abstract intellectual thinking and their resulting emotions and feelings are what humans can do that brute animals cannot do.
2) There are two types of feeling experiences,...Biological (concrete) and Psychological (abstract).
A) The word psych / psyc / psyche only means intellectual human Soul in the origin of the word in Greek and Latin. The word psychology and psychological originally and only mean the knowledge and study of the intellectual human Soul in the Greek and Latin.
B) Biological concrete feelings are: hunger, thirst, fatigue, hot, cold, desire to urinate and defecate, heterosexual attraction, desire to procreate, feel physically good, feel physically bad, physical pain, feel sick, feel well, physical numbness/tingling, pleased, displeased, displeased with desire to flea, displeased with desire to fight, surprised.
C) Psychological abstract feelings (several of which are objectively not felt but humans call them feelings) are: confused, lonely, rejected, hurt feelings, unaccepted, accepted, unloved, loved, liked, disliked, wanted, unwanted, desired, disrespected, respected, disrespected, offended, traumatized, scandalized, insulted, obsessed, unsatisfied, lazy, prideful, lust, horny, jealous, envy, greedy, happy, glad, joy, peace, hope, content, fulfilled, patient, accepting, compassion, pity, unhappy, sad, sorrow, grief, empty, unfulfilled, unimportant, despair, depressed, hopeless, self-pity, feel helpless, suicidal, sorry, contrition, guilty, guilt, ashamed, shame, scared, afraid, worried, nervous, stressed, anxious, phobic, paranoid, embarrassed, shy, mad, angry, irritated, bugged, frustrated, put out, pissed off, annoyed, furious, rage, enraged, zeal, righteous indignation, merciful, tolerant, trusted, brave, strong, same gender attraction, attraction to particular characteristics of another, feeling like a boy when biologically a girl, feeling like a girl when biologically a boy, feeling like an animal when I'm a human person, etc.
IV. Proof that psychological emotions and feelings (including psychological attractions) are always freely chosen in human beings:
1) In the sequence of events, an exterior event occurs that either we choose to initiate or another person chooses to initiate, or natural occurrence initiates.
2) Next we freely choose to think, believe, expect, want, not want, like, dislike, things about the event, (with or without the virtues of; self-control, self-awareness, and proper discernment)... All of which we freely choose to automatically believe we are right about, and if we are wrong that is called pride and selfishness.
3) And THEN we have psychological feelings (including emotions and attractions) about the event based on and resulting from, aka caused by, what we: think, believe, expect, want, don't want, like, dislike.
4) Next we freely choose to immediately believe that we are right about our psychological feelings, emotions, and attractions, by believing we "should be having" our feelings, emotions, and attractions, because of what just occurred, thereby wrongly blaming our feelings, emotions, and attractions on the external event, objects, and/or persons, without proper discernment with God...
Or, we freely choose to work with God to recognize how our psychological feelings, emotions, and attractions are wrong, rightly blame ourselves, and repent to God of the bad psychological feelings, emotions, or attractions, while seeking God's Truth, Love, Virtues to replace them.
5) Next we choose to exteriorly act and/or not act in particular ways.
V. Rational Logical Philosophical Conclusions:
Therefore, psychological feelings, emotions, and attractions are caused by our freely chosen psychological: thoughts, beliefs, expectations, wants, desires, likes, and dislikes.
Therefore, our psychological feelings, emotions, and attractions are morally and ethically qualifiable....making them either Virtuous (Truth and Love) or a sin (absence of Truth, Love, Virtues).
