The term "psychology" classically and rightly understood, is “the study of the human intellectual soul.”
Without consideration of our immaterial human soul—which holds our powers of intellect and free will—the most essential element of the human person is negated. As a result, people often draw erroneous conclusions and perpetuate falsehoods throughout all aspects and walks of life.
The mission of Theology Of the Soul (TOS) is to restore, through philosophical education, the true understanding of the term "psychology"—True Psychology™. Our philosophy proposes that any account of the human person that excludes the spiritual dimension is incomplete. Through this philosophical framework, we examine the realities of human suffering, moral struggle, and interior conflict from a moral-theological perspective rooted in the reality of the soul, intellect, and free will.
Building upon this philosophical educational foundation, TOS also offers the 10 Steps to Lasting Healing™, a path of spiritual formation designed to cultivate virtue, interior freedom, and deeper cooperation with Truth, Love, and Virtue of the Divine in the life of the soul.

About TOS Founder L K Miller
Miller is a lay Catholic philosopher, moral theologian, and spiritual director. Miller is also a former Seminary Psychology Professor in Mexico, as well as a former licensed professional counselor from North Carolina, USA. Miller has been developing her philosophies of True Psychology™ and 10 Steps to Lasting Healing™; (LHP Method™) since 2001.
Miller began teaching her university & seminary course, "True Psychology: 10 Steps to Lasting Healing" (in Spanish) at the Seminary, Seminario
San José Obrero, Diocese de Ciudad Altamirano, Mexico, before traveling between the US and Mexico speaking at lectures, Lenten missions, workshops, seminars, and retreats.
Miller is in the process of publishing her work on True Psychology and Lasting Healing Path, (LHP Method), 10 Steps to Lasting Healing™ into a series of handbooks in both English and Spanish, for the healing of all personal struggles, disordered attachments and attractions, emotional suffering, vices, confusion, and spiritual wounds.
Formal Education
Miller received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of North Carolina Greensboro, USA (UNCG) and graduate degree in Counseling from Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio (FUS), with her internship specializing in the diagnosis of psychological disorders.
Secular Licensure
Miller worked as both a US Nationally Certified Counselor and NC State Licensed Professional Counselor for twelve years, including Licensed Professional Supervisor for the last four of those years, until freely rejecting them all as an unnecessary costly formality that in no way reflects the true knowledge and capability of any professional in the fields of Psychology and Psychiatry.
L K Miller states, "Secular credentials and their secular continuing education are in support of and founded in much of what is erroneous and harmful within Modern Psychology and Psychiatry, which in good conscience I can no longer support."
Service and Experience
At present, Miller has over twenty years of public service guiding those suffering from various problems, struggles, disturbances, and disorders; with four of those years as a licensed professional counselor supervisor.
Miller has obtained a variety of experience with: individuals (ages 6 and up), couples, marriage and family, and group counseling within diverse settings from private practice, state run agencies, and private government funded agencies, to foster care, alcohol and drug groups, and emergency room services.
What is True Psychology™?
True Psychology, is the objectively true philosophical explanation of the human person, the soul, and disorder through the lens of Thomistic philosophy and Catholic moral theology and spirituality. The 10 Steps to Lasting Healing™ philosophy has been developed from over 20 years of experience, investigation, and preparation by L K Miller, and is only taught through the Theology of the Soul (TOS).
